Austrian slalom specialist Adrian Pertl was dominated out for the remainder of the Alpine snowboarding season Sunday, a day after hurting his proper knee in a large slalom crash in Val d’Isère.
The Austrian ski federation stated Pertl would wish surgical procedure for a torn ACL and broken meniscus after he straddled a gate and fell within the World Cup race in France.
Pertl gained silver in slalom on the world championships final season and was anticipated to compete in his first Olympics in February.
